A Holistic Acupuncture and Wellness Center serving the Frisco/Breckenridge Area since 2004.

Are you having challenges getting pregnant?

Current statistics say 1 in 10 couples struggle with infertility.

Even seeing friends and acquaintances with babies can be frustrating and heartbreaking. Why is it so easy for them and why not for me?

I am sure you are checking into your options. Western reproductive medicine has many things to offer and combining modern fertility technology with acupuncture can boost positive outcomes. But, what if you want a fully natural approach? The good news is Chinese medicine and acupuncture can also work alone as a viable option for effective treatment of infertility.

Chinese Medicine uses a whole body approach which addresses the reproductive organs but also includes all other areas of the body. A full intake often will often reveal clues that contribute to infertility even though they seem unrelated to fertility. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs can rebalance hormones, help create a healthy uterine lining and regulate the cycle.

Stress is also a major contributor to infertility and is easily reduced with acupuncture. It is not uncommon for other health issues will begin to improve too. My patients have experienced better digestion, more energy and less anxiety during treatment for infertility. Are you starting to see the possibilities?

So whether you seek a 100% natural approach or plan to blend modern treatments with natural Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can work for you.

Below are 3 things to look for in an infertility specialist.

1 – Check the credentials of your acupuncturist. Make sure your acupuncturist is NCCAOM board certified and has completed the 3+ years at an accredited school. Because of a legal loophole many Chiropractors and Medical Doctors practice acupuncture after a course amounting to not much over 100 hours training (2 weekend seminars).

2 – Does your acupuncturist specialize in infertility? Make sure you are working with an acupuncturist who is pursuing continuing education in infertility. Infertility can be complicated and requires both training in Eastern infertility and an understanding of western fertility treatments and lab results. I have been furthering my training with many leaders in this field. I have been mentored personally by Randine Lewis author of the “Infertility Cure”. In addition I have completed training with Debra Betts who authored “The Essential Guide to Acupuncture in Pregnancy and Childbirth.”

3 – Does your acupuncturist use a comprehensive approach? I have found Chinese herbal medicine to be essential in most infertility cases. Ask if your practitioner has the ability to make tailored formulas for you. In addition lifestyle and diet counseling is a necessary part of the treatment process. Also, ask if your practitioner teaches emotional and stress relief techniques. In my work I spend focused time teaching tools that effectively reduce stress. This is fun, easy and can be life changing.

For more in depth information on this subject read Randine Lewis’s book comprehensive book, “Infertility Cure.” This book blends Eastern and Western fertility knowledge and is a great resource to understand how Chinese Medicine and acupuncture work for infertility.

I specialize in infertility and also could answer any questions you may have.
